Non Fiction
Non Fiction is a lyrical documentary series that explores the porous boundary between the real and the fictional in photography. The idea is simple: is it possible to photograph the world as it is to create a series that resembles a fiction?
The series is told through the multitude of visual strategies deployed in order to cover the tracks. Images based on rumours, miscellaneous facts and improvised encounters accumulate and mix to give life to a fluid and multifaceted narrative. Framed in this way, daily life is transformed: each window hides secrets, each person becomes a character; each object becomes a clue or a potential piece of evidence.
Everything is true, everything is false, but one thing is certain: the truth is at least as strange as fiction.
