Born in 1989, Mathieu grew up in the South of France before moving to the USA to study English literature. This is where he became interested in photography and started producing his first series when travelling down the Eastern coast with his friends.

Upon returning to Paris, Mathieu has been producing various documentary projects about communities. His work drove him to travel across many different countries photographing cultures , traditions and beliefs.

Since 2017 he has started a new project on religiosity , documenting its diversity and its universal aspect.

Based in Paris but travelling extensively , he produces personal and commissioned documentary work for the French and international press.
